POWER YOGA

This dynamic and energizing practice integrates a flowing series of postures to create internal heat as you increase strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Open to anyone looking for a good sweat! This is a quicker practice, but equally accessible to everyBODY.

VINYASA YOGA

This athletic vinyasa flow practice is a dynamic, physical practice that links movement and breath to connect the mind and body. This practice will build strength and endurance while increasing flexibility, mental focus and overall health.

FLOW YOGA

This class focuses on matching movement with breath, flowing from one form to another, building mindfulness, balance and strength. Several options will be offered to beginners as well as advanced practitioners.

SLOW FLOW YOGA

This class has a slowed down pace and a more meditative feel. The instructor will lead you in a slow exploration of individual yoga forms and transitions between forms. Newer students find this class especially accessible and that it builds confidence and is a good introduction to yoga, while more experienced students refine the fundamentals dive into deeper focus.

EGYPTIAN & KEMETIC YOGA

75 MIN Egyptian & Kemetic yoga, originating in Egypt, focuses on the movement of energy through the body in order to connect with one’s higher intelligence and the divine within. One practices Kemetic yoga at a much slower pace than in a standard asana class, and there is more of a focus on meditation and the chakras (energy centers). A gentle but challenging flow using geometrical progression, growing in intensity as the practice progresses. With detoxifying spinal twist rule of four breathing.

MEN’S YOGA

75 MIN All levels strength building & flexibility flow yoga class. Beginning with the foundations of yoga, breathing, and mindfulness techniques. No prior yoga experience required.
This class is open to all men. We use an inclusive definition of “man” and “male”: we welcome trans men, genderqueer men, and non-binary people who are significantly male-identified.

VINYASA YOGA + SOUND BATH MEDITATION

This class begins with a 45 minute athletic vinyasa flow practice. A dynamic, physical practice that links movement and breath to connect the mind and body. This practice will build strength and endurance while increasing flexibility, mental focus and overall health.

You will then be guided through a 10-15 min meditation using crystal singing bowls. The instructor will play specific harmonies to affect different parts of the body and take you to a place of deep relaxation.

YOGA FLOW + MEDITATION

This class begins with a 45 or 60-minute vinyasa flow yoga practice, depending on the length of the class. We will match our movement with our breath to prepare the body and mind for a short meditation practice, followed by a period of rest and relaxation.

SAMATHA MEDITATION–DONATION BASED

A Buddhist-derived guided meditation practice to develop enhanced concentration, calm & clarity.  You will practice mindfulness of different lengths of breath, along with increasingly subtle objects on which to fix our attention. Approximately 30 min of meditation, and optional discussion afterwards. Beginners welcome.

RECIPE FOR RELAXATION: MORNING FOCUS

This Breathwork class is intended to wake up the senses, increase self awareness and strengthen internal power. We will build courage through breath retention, breathing techniques and light yoga to find mobility in our breathing.

DEEP STRETCH

Deep Stretch is an active stretching class in beginning with gentle warm-up exercises, some standing and some seated, to prepare the muscles for a deeper stretch.  After the warm-up, most forms are done on the floor and held for 1-2 minutes.  There will also be a focus on the breath and meditation giving the body time to fully relax and open.

CHAIR YOGA

Most of this class is conducted in a chair and focuses on slow movements to gently and safely improve balance, agility, strength, flexibility and concentration. This is a wonderful class for those suffering from back pain, joint pain, recovering from an injury or experiencing mobility issues as well as anyone seeking a relaxing practice that also promotes health, overall wellness and improved mood. Chairs, mats and blankets will be provided.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative Yoga is a slow-paced practice encouraging passive stretching. All forms are done either seated or lying on the ground. Each form is held anywhere from 3-5 min, with the support of props. Students will be encouraged to fully and gently relax into poses, releasing deep tensions and stress.

YIN YOGA

A mindful style of yoga that uses longer holds to access the fascia and connective tissue in the body. In this class you will hold mainly passive postures done on the floor for about 3-7 minutes each. Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to relax in the posture, soften the muscles and move closer to the bone. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation. Yin yoga offers much deeper access to the body, particularly the fascia. You will leave feeling balanced and renewed. This class is accessible for all levels and everyBODY.

TRAUMA SENSITIVE YOGA

Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an empirically validated, clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Although, TCTSY employs physical forms and movements, the emphasis is not on the external expression or appearance (i.e. doing it”right”), or receiving the approval of an external authority. Rather, the focus is on the internal experience of the participant.

This shift in orientation, from the external to the internal, is a key attribute of TCTSY as a complementary treatment for complex trauma. With our approach, the power resides within the individual, not the TCTSY facilitator (TCTSY-F). Further, by focusing on the felt sense of the body to inform choice-making, TCTSY allows participants to restore their connection of mind and body and cultivate a sense of agency that is often compromised as a result of trauma.

TCTSY has foundations in trauma theory, attachment theory, neuroscience, and hatha yoga, with an emphasis on body-based yoga forms and breathing practices.
